Best Practices Foundation is a Bangalore-based NGO founded in 1999 to improve the quality of life of poor and marginalised communities through participatory approaches, co-creating innovations that are pro-poor, inclusive and gender sensitive. Its livelihoods innovation MOVE, or Market Oriented Value Enhancement — an experiential, gamified 'desi-MBA' built for self-help groups and developed at its Dharwad innovation branch — won an award from the World Bank-ILO-YEN MarketPlace. It also works on research and documentation, alliances, advocacy and evaluations.
