Digantar Shiksha Evam Khelkud Samiti began as a small experimental school in Jaipur in 1978 and has grown into a Rajasthan-based education organisation running schools for rural children alongside its Academic Resource Unit (TARU), which trains teachers and develops learning materials. Its work centres on child-centred, rational and rights-respecting education for children from low-income rural households on the outskirts of Jaipur.
