Runs a free residential alternative school for child labourers and dropouts near Mysore since 2005
Divya Deepa Charitable Trust was established on 4 March 1999 by Ananth Kumar in Kenchalagudu village near Mysore. It runs Kaliyuva Mane, a free residential alternative school that opened in 2005 for children who do not fit mainstream schooling: child labourers, dropouts, children from broken families, and those with significant academic lag. The school started with 4 children in a hut and is supported by volunteer students and IT professionals from Mysore and Bengaluru under the motto 'School for children, not children for school.'
