HELP Foundation JK (Human Effort for Love and Peace) was founded in 1997 by Nighat Shafi Pandit, opening its first home for children left homeless by the Kashmir conflict. It has since trained over 10,000 women in vocational skills, run schools across poor communities, and set up Shehjar, a fair-trade brand supporting marginalised women artisans, alongside a mental health centre near Srinagar.
