Anushkaa Foundation for Eliminating Clubfoot
Scaling the Ponseti Method through government and charitable hospitals to end clubfoot disability in India
Anushkaa Foundation for Eliminating Clubfoot (AFEC) is a Mumbai-based nonprofit registered in 2014 that works to prevent lifelong disability from clubfoot, a birth defect affecting an estimated 33,000 Indian children a year. Rather than running its own clinics, it partners with government and charitable hospitals to train doctors and health workers in the non-surgical Ponseti Method and build sustainable in-system treatment capacity, now active across 165 districts in 13 states, including a 2026 partnership with the Adani Foundation to expand into 61 more districts.
