Bachpan Bachao Andolan (registered as the Association for Voluntary Action) was founded in 1980 by Nobel Peace laureate Kailash Satyarthi to protect children from trafficking, bonded labour and exploitation. It runs rescue operations with law-enforcement partners, rehabilitation and legal aid for survivors, and advocacy for child-friendly policy, and reports having freed over 54,000 children through this work.
