War Widows Association supports widows of India's defence personnel — 'Veer Naries' — through welfare, rehabilitation and access to pension schemes, legal aid and financial guidance, and emotional support. It has assisted widows of the 1965 and 1971 wars, the Kargil War, and more recently families of CRPF personnel killed in the Pulwama attack, and coordinates with the Ministry of Defence and the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force.
