The Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative is an independent nonprofit registered as a society in India and headquartered in New Delhi, with additional offices in London and Accra. Founded in 1987, it works on access to justice — with a focus on police and prison reform — and access to information, including support for the right-to-information movement, through research, strategic advocacy and capacity building.
