Blank Noise began in 2003 as a student project at Bengaluru's Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology and has grown into a volunteer-led community art project confronting street sexual harassment in India. Founded by Jasmeen Patheja, it runs participatory public actions and campaigns such as 'I Never Ask For It', which collects testimonial garments worn during incidents of harassment, to shift blame away from survivors and build public accountability.
