Brave Souls Foundation is a trust registered under the Indian Trusts Act, 1882, founded in July 2021 by Shaheen Malik, herself a survivor of a 2009 acid attack. It runs a holistic survivor-support model covering immediate outreach, legal aid, medical and reconstructive-surgery support, psycho-social counselling, education and family reintegration for acid-attack and gender-based-violence survivors, with a geographic focus on Delhi, West Bengal and Chandigarh. Its Delhi shelter home, 'Apna Ghar' in Jangpura, opened in October 2021 and has housed around 50 survivors.
